Generation Code Inspiration Day

FREE OF CHARGE

Description

Generation Code is a programme delivered by UK Youth, in partnership with Microsoft. The programme addresses the lack of skills in computer science in young people, empowering them to become digital creators in an ever-changing global society.

The Inspiration Day will bring together young people, youth workers and tech experts from across the region to explore, create and be inspired by coding. Young people will be trained as “Code Champions” who will go on to deliver coding opportunities to other young people in their local community over a six month period. At the event, young people aged 16-25 will explore creative ways to learn to code – from coding music to counting keepy-uppies! They will explore what it means to be a Code Champion and develop key skills like session planning, facilitating and inspiring others.
